Kalina Home creates custom, handcrafted keepsakes using customer-provided clothing. Because every piece is individually made, each finished item will be unique.

Quilt sizes and measurements are approximate. Small variations in dimensions, stitching, fabric placement, pattern alignment, texture, and color are natural parts of handmade work and are not considered defects. Colors may also appear slightly different in photographs or on different screens.

Because each piece is custom made from customer-provided clothing, completed custom orders are final sale and are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

You confirm that you own or have permission to submit all clothing and materials provided to Kalina Home.

By sending clothing, you understand that it will be permanently cut, stabilized, sewn, and altered during production. Once an item has been cut or altered, it cannot be restored to its original condition.

Clothing should arrive clean and free from excessive pet hair, smoke, mold, pests, strong odors, bodily fluids, or other unsafe substances. Kalina Home may decline or return materials that are unsafe or unsuitable to handle.

Not every submitted item or every portion of an item can be guaranteed for use. Fabric condition, size, design, stretch, thickness, embellishments, and overall suitability will determine what can be included.

I always strive to accommodate your preferences and meaningful pieces you would especially like featured. I’ll make every reasonable effort to honor those requests when the clothing and design allow.

Final fabric placement, cutting choices, color balance, and layout decisions remain at the discretion of Kalina Home to protect the quality and structure of the finished quilt.

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your booking. Of that deposit, $150 is nonrefundable.

If you cancel before processing of your clothing has begun, the remaining portion of your deposit may be refunded. Once processing begins, the full deposit becomes nonrefundable.

Processing includes sorting, planning, cutting, stabilizing, designing, or beginning any other production work.

If Kalina Home has already received your clothing, you are responsible for return shipping costs. Any clothing that has already been cut or altered cannot be returned in its original condition.

You’ll receive finished photos before final payment is collected and your completed order is shipped.

Final payment is due after finished photos are provided and approved and before the quilt is shipped. Approval confirms acceptance of the visible design, layout, and overall appearance of the finished product.

Please keep in mind that lighting, photography, and screen settings may cause colors to appear slightly different from the physical quilt.

Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping clothing to Kalina Home.

After booking and project approval, you’ll receive the correct shipping address and instructions. Clothing must arrive by the deadline provided for your booking. Missing the deadline may delay production or move your booking to a later production period.

A tracked shipping service is strongly recommended. Kalina Home is not responsible for packages lost, delayed, damaged, or misdelivered before they are received. All packages will be sent to a secure UPS location until I am able to retrieve it.

Production and ship dates are estimates rather than guarantees.

Kalina Home will make reasonable efforts to meet the estimated timeline and will communicate if a significant delay occurs. Timelines may be affected by order complexity, clothing condition, customer response time, late clothing arrival, delayed approvals, unpaid balances, supply availability, illness, equipment issues, carrier delays, or other circumstances outside reasonable control.

Kalina Home currently accepts and ships orders within the United States only.

Standard U.S. shipping for your completed quilt and unused clothing is included in the quilt price. Orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii may require an additional shipping charge.

Your order will not ship until finished photos have been approved and the final balance has been paid in full. Tracking information will be provided once your order ships.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Please contact Kalina Home as soon as possible if your address changes. Once an order has shipped, the delivery address may not be able to be changed.

Customers are responsible for additional shipping costs caused by an incorrect address, refused delivery, or a package being returned to Kalina Home.

Carrier delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. Kalina Home is not responsible for carrier delays caused by weather, service interruptions, holidays, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside reasonable control.

If your package appears to be lost or tracking has stopped updating, contact Kalina Home and I’ll provide reasonable assistance with the carrier’s search or claim process.

If your completed quilt or returned clothing arrives damaged, contact Kalina Home within 7 days of delivery. Please keep all packaging and provide clear photographs of the package, shipping label, packaging materials, and damaged contents.

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If your order arrives damaged or there is an error with your order, contact Kalina Home within 7 days of delivery and include clear photos of the issue.

If an issue is confirmed, Kalina Home will work with you to determine an appropriate resolution. Please do not return an item without contacting Kalina Home first.

If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method.

Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

All Kalina Home website content, including branding, logos, photographs, written material, graphics, product designs, and other original content, may not be copied, reproduced, sold, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

You may not use this website or its content for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or unauthorized commercial purposes, or attempt to interfere with the website’s operation, security, or availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kalina Home will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of this website or the purchase of a product. Kalina Home’s total liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount paid for that order. Nothing in these policies limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

These policies are governed by the laws of the State of Utah and applicable United States law. Kalina Home may update these policies from time to time, and the policies in effect when an order is placed will apply to that order unless otherwise required by law.
